Bradford H. Gray (NAM '01) and Helen Darling
"Deeply appreciating the NAM and recognizing its need for flexible support, I was glad to be able to make a bequest. I initially developed my appreciation of what the NAM does during my decade as an IOM study director beginning in 1979. That's also where I met my wife, Helen Darling, who was also a study director at that time. The Reagan years were very challenging for the IOM, highlighting the need for nongovernmental financial support not tied to specific projects. Having gotten to know and respect dozens of IOM members, I found it deeply satisfying when I was elected to membership in 2001. I have been a regular donor for many years and am pleased that my bequest will constitute a final contribution to an organization that I admire and respect."
